What are the components of a Glock?

Glock is a line of polymer-framed, locked-breech, short recoil-operated semi-automatic pistols created and manufactured by Austrian company Glock Ges.m.b.H. The company’s founder, Gaston Glock, had no experience with firearms design or manufacture at the time their first pistol, the Glock 17, was being prototyped. Every jurisdiction has a different set of firearm regulations. However, most states demand extra requirements, such as a permit or background check, such that a person must be at least 18 years old in order to buy and possess a firearm. In most states, it is illegal to carry a concealed weapon without a permit.

There are also state laws that prohibit the sale of certain types of handguns, such as those with high-capacity magazines or certain features, such as a threaded barrel. In addition, federal laws prohibit the sale of firearms to certain individuals, including those convicted of a felony, those with a history of mental illness, and those under the age of 21.
